A key to the city for POP student

If you found $900 while shopping at your favorite store, what would you do? Foster Dudley, a fourth grade student at Prince of Peace Catholic School, faced that situation while shopping with his family at Target in Hoover.

Naturally, as any child might wonder, he asked his mother, Parisa Dudley if he could keep the money. But after a quick discussion, he decided that he would want others to return something of his if he lost it. So, with the help of the Target store manager, he was able to locate the rightful owner.

To recognize his good deed, Hoover mayor Frank Brocato presented him with a key to the city…just the second such key Mayor Brocato has presented. At the January 21 city council meeting, Dudley was joined by his parents, Paul and Parisa; POP principal Connie Angstadt; his teacher, Kati Horton; and the mayor and city council members.
