Foundation donates more than $142k to schools

When teachers in Vestavia Hills have ideas they wish to implement in the classroom, they know who to turn to — the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation (VHCSF). The VHCSF engages their community, raises funding, and gifts those funds to the school system. Through grants to teachers, schools, and the school system, students in the system are the real winners.

“We are so excited to be able to give generously to our school system,” says Tait Stoddard, the Foundation’s executive director. “We are really blessed to have a great school system.”

Since the Foundation’s inception in 1996, the VHCSF has donated more than $1.1 million the all 8 VHCS schools and to the system itself: $448,042.50 in professional development; $374,924.65 in technology; and $363,178.40 in classroom projects.
